Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a extraordinary man who worked for racial equality and civil rights in the USA. He was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Martin experienced racism early in life which motivated him to do something about the way he and millions of other people were being discriminated against.
So during the 1950's Martin became active in the movement for civil rights and racial equality. He participated in the Montgomery,Albama, bus boycott and many other peaceful demonstrations that protested the unfair discrimination of African-Americans. He became not only a role model, but an idol and inspiration to millions of people all craving freedom from racial equality.
However, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968.
Martin is known by billions of people all over the world, He changed the way America functions and is still celebrated to this day on Martin Luther King Day. He will never be forgotten which is why he is on my list of inspiring people.
